Every time series carries two kinds of statistics, both maintained continuously rather than computed on demand.

By time

A period is a continuous interval of the day. For each one, the same statistics plus the time of the last update and the time elapsed since it. Hourly and daily periods are kept by default.

Architecture

SynchroServer, a multi-threaded Java application, sits at the heart of the infrastructure. It receives data from probes, applications and adapters, then aggregates, historises, reports and raises alarms as needed.

Data reaches it over a deliberately trivial text-based TCP protocol — which is why writing an adapter for a new source is a small job rather than a project. The web tools talk to the server's embedded web server over HTTP.

Downloads

SynchroAgent reports a host's processor, memory, disk, filesystem, network and per-process activity to SynchroServer. One static binary, no runtime to install.
